When I was a child I discovered this simple game. The game starts by making three rows of matches (or sticks) 6-5-4.
The rules of the game, two players take turns to remove matches, on your turn you can remove 1- 2- 3- or all the matches, but “only” in one row at a time. Then your opponent takes his turn, he also can take as many matches as he wants per turn but only from one row at a time. The person who “picks up the last” mach is the looser!
The beauty of this game is that a bit like naughts and crosses, if you know 3 simple rules you can “NEVER” lose, ?
I have been playing this game for 30 years and only one time in my life, did I meet another person who new these 3 simple rules. He was sitting in a bar “making loads of Money” ££££££££
Personally, I never play this game for money (well maybe sometimes for a few free biers! Every time I play this game in a public place people are mesmerized, it’s such a simple intriguing game they cannot believe that I can win “every time”.
Some times I play a whole table of people until the early hours of the morning (I like to show off), it drives my friends crazy. I also taught it to my daughter and she totally baffled her math’s teacher. Its fun watching people racking their brain to find the answer, it looks so simple! “If you know the 3 rules it is”
